ELLE AIME LE JARDIN
Poem written by my daughter, Katie in 2005 when she 12. Was a competition winner and the poem 'Elle Aime Le Jardin' was included in a poetry trail arranged by Birmingham's Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses, and Don Bannard, Birmingham's Poet Laureate at the time.
ELLE AIME LE JARDIN
Ann-Marie lives in a house,
With a small city garden;
With a stunning water feature,
How lovely and modern,
ELLE AIME LE JARDIN
Bought on a Paris market;
Flowers of pink, blue and yellow,
Now planted in the flower bed,
How wonderful and mellow,
ELLE AIME LE JARDIN
She loves sitting in the garden,
Amongst the grasses,
With family and friends,
And the clinking of glasses,
ELLE AIME LE JARDIN
