Currey has collaborated with the award winning writer of modern classics, Julia Donaldson CBE to illustrate Rosie's Hat, and, more recently, The Teeny Weeny Genie. Paperback edition pictured.

For both these Macmillan children's titles Currey provided illustrations that are well observed characterisations. She painted people and animal characters using concentrated watercolours. The faces are warm and friendly, not detailed, but are expressive nonetheless. She applied soft, black outlines to the drawings.

Currey's illustrative style results in brightly coloured illustrations, sketchy in style with strong backgrounds - big skies and stretching grass scapes which enhance the storytelling The book designers present Currey's smaller illustrations on white backgrounds which clearly defines the pictures.

Currey has collaborated more than twice with Donaldson and with several authors to produce some charming picture book titles for children. Currey is based in the South of England though she delivers talks about her work at different venues around the country.
