OXO Recipe for French Onion Soup

A delicious and quick to make recipe for French Onion Soup courtesy of Premier Foods and OXO

  • 1 Tbsp 
    Vegetable Oil
  • Black Pepper to Taste


    4 servings

    Prep Time 30 mins
    Cook Time 10 mins

    Heat the oil in a large, heavy based pan over a medium heat.
    Add the sliced onions and cook for 10 – 15 minutes or until nicely browned (without being burnt), stirring occasionally.
    Add the butter and flour, stirring for a few minutes.
    Add the white wine and brandy and cook for 2 – 3 minutes.
    Add the OXO Beef Stock Pot and water and bring to the boil.
    Turn down the heat and gently simmer for 10 – 15 minutes.
    Finish with cracked black pepper
